So far we have completed chapter 1.

chapter 1 notes

Students have been presenting an Artifact or Family Heirloom to the class.  This is an informal presentation.  There was a handout with five questions to be handed in at the end of the presentation. 
Many students have completed their presentations.  The remaining students will present this week Oct.07th - 11th.


There will be a QUIZ on Chapter 1 next week. 

8-5 :  Tuesday Oct. 15th

8-4 : Tuesday Oct. 15th  ---------had to move this to Tuesday.  Students were informed Friday of the change.  NOT Wednesday Oct. 16th--oops :(

Students were given a one page study guide as a tool to help them prepare.  Students are expected to review their notes and the textbook as well in order to prepare for a test or quiz.

October 11th,2013

Today we continued our study of chapter 2. The secondary source on page 28 was examined to determine the 4 main reasons for the extinction of the Beothuk. 

CHAPTER TWO

Students would benefit from reading the complete Chapter at home.  We have been reading sections in class.

Students have been working through the chapter 2 questions in class.
